I made this in 1982. Linda's mom had it and gave it back to me since she has no place to hang it. It is currently on its way to Sandra, Linda's sister. It is not uncommon for me to be my biggest critic. I rarely look at any of my work and feel thrilled about it. I had this hanging in our house for a few days and I really liked it. I had made a number of this type window hanging back then. All done in brass circles and left with large areas of open space. This is what eventually developed into the window corner idea that I now have for sale. The idea is to make some items that I call affordable art. Most people can't afford a large piece of stained glass art but may enjoy having a smaller piece. I enjoy trying new ideas and ways of using stained glass so who knows what is next.
Welcome to Rick Hickmann Art Glass!
I hope to share with you my love of stained glass. I view my glass work as an art form so every design is my own creation and I do not repeat designs in my windows. I enjoy the challenge of creating a work that becomes a part of the personality of the clients and also fits in with the interior decorating. Feel free to make comments, ask questions, or critique any of my postings. If you click on the slideshow to the right you can view the pictures in a larger format.
